PAC recently published our first supplier rankings at a global and EMEA level, based on calendar 2020 revenue.
Usually we publish our vendor rankings based on the most recently reported fiscal year for each vendor. We will stick to this policy for our multiple, extensive rankings (by country, by products and services, by industry, by topic/offering). But given the impact of the Covid 19 crisis in 2020, we decided to add some interim vendor rankings at worldwide as well as at EMEA level to provide a more like-for-like comparison over the same 12-month period. For this, we considered four consecutive quarters, with the last one ending in Q4 2020.
Looking at the Top 10 IT services rankings at EMEA level, the adjusted ranking shows Accenture taking the lead for the first time, just ahead of IBM. Capgemini completes the podium. Atos and DXC round out the Top five, followed by TCS, CGI, Sopra Steria, Deloitte and Fujitsu. NTT Data, T-Systems, Cognizant, Orange and Infosys complete the Top 15.
Clearly the performance varied strongly depending on the positioning (portfolio, industries), the country mix (with companies strong in France and the UK more exposed to the crisis) and M&A activity (Altran's acquisition underpinned double-digit growth for Capgemini).
Only three companies in the Top 15 managed to post growth: Capgemini, NTT Data and Orange. Behind, the most resilient performances were recorded by TCS and Infosys (flat), Accenture, Deloitte and Cognizant (1-2% decrease). DXC and Fujitsu (both impacted by the UK market situation) reported the strongest decrease.
